Yeah, the doctor was very precise. He answered all my questions and he takes care of me. And it's unfortunate that he's so busy that you can't get in to see him when you want.

Everyone was wonderful. Was recommended a year follow up and was booked out a year and a half due to availability. I know dermatologists are in high demand, but 18 months between appointments is too much. It's not fair to the staff to have patients rely on mychart messages to get timely care.

You did pretty well. The big thing, I guess, is he's kind of hard to understand his language and everything. But other than that, it was a good visit. No problem. I still haven't heard back from the lab, though. That's all I have to say.

Can't get anther appointment until 2028. That's too long. Need a checkup in a year or sooner. Had about 9 spots to take care of in 1 year. Will have to find an appointment in 2027. Sorry.

It is unacceptable to have to wait 17 months for the next annual visit. That is not quality care - it is cost savings.

I feel that the care I receive from any Emplify provider and care center is very good. I like the coordinated aspect of being able to choose which care center is most convenient.

GREAT VISIT

My chart is something I used to use when it was Gundersen Lutheran and I used it all the time and it was very handy. And now I don't know what's happened, if it's an exemplify or whatever is going on. I have not been able to get into my page anymore. So I do miss that. It would be nice to have that fixed. Thank you.

Very inconvenient and disappointed. We had an appointment at 8:15 in the morning and we were like 10 minutes late due to traffic and park and they, of course, wouldn't work us in or see us and we had to come back again, which is very concerned being that it was looking for cancer and always stop. But other than that, it was fine, but it's just the fact that waited if they could have fit us in. So thank you.

I have tried to use your MyChart recently and tried to send my doctor a message and since it's all changed again, I have not been able to figure out how to send my doctor a message on my chart. And I just got tired of fooling around with it, so I just got off your website. But yeah, I'm not happy with your new MyChart again changes.

Dr. Yao was very nice. He is a great doctor and was very knowledgable. I am very pleased with how my appointment went. His medical assistant was very sweet as well.

Dermatology is an 18 month wait time for a an annual routine check up. Is this normal at other medical facilities? Doctors are great & this is 18 month wait is out of their control and an institutional issue. Care is wonderful. Doctors, nurses are wonderful. This wait time issue has been this way for many years at Gundersen & hope it can be fixed soon

I authorized the $50 copay prior to visit and as usual it said it would be charged at appointment. Fine. Then I get another notification with estimated bill which I like but asking me to pre pay $25 which is half of patient responsibility. The registration clerk's honestly were clueless and kept claiming it had nothing to do with copay which I am quite certain it did. A training opportunity for someone

Dr. Yao and his steam were very caring and respectful. They answered my questions with helpful information.

Dr. Yao is a very nice doctor. But he is very quick in his examination. He was done in 5 minutes. Since I have to wait 15 months to see him, I wish he'd be slower in his examination and explain what some of things are that he sees.

Your site didn't update I answered all questions before i came didn't fill out. No Dedicated checkout line , so people budged in front of me when I was waiting to check in. The earliest appointment for next year is september of twenty seven Again I said the earliest!

It's unfortunate how unavailable dermatology resources are. I couldn't get my next 'annual' appointment fir 16 months

It's always a good experience with Dr Yao and his nurse, enjoy seeing him.

I understand that the physician is extremely busy and nothing, I just wish that I could have my appointments a little sooner. That is no fault of his. My experience with everyone was excellent and if there was a problem, it's because I wasn't thinking of something to ask. But I'm very confident in this physician and extremely pleased with his performance and the staff's performance. I just understand that sometimes things just are overwhelming as far as bookings and stuff.

Everyone is so nice, so caring. Staff are professional and make your treatment, which can be at times scary or anxiety causing, stress free. They make you feel at ease with all they do. Love this place.

You need more doctors. It was tough to rebook another year out which currently is 26 to 17 months, not 12 months.

The doctor is very through and explains as he checks the body.

He was just like every other dermatologist in the last 40 years. Same answer and no real results. Left feeling completely unheard and frustrated. I left feeling like it was a waste of everyone's time and money. I will not be returning. Now the nurse helping him was the only one who listened and made me feel heard. She was excellent.

I'm a chronic skin cancer patient who's only in town for a certain amount of time and Dr Yao & the staff always takes time to ensure that my issues are resolved. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating.

Yes, my appointment was very acceptable and I thought the doctor did a good examination. However, I was very disappointed when I checked out to find out that according to the doctor he wanted to see me in one year and when I was checking out I was unable to schedule an appointment next year. And this was very disappointing and disgusting and I'm very upset about it. So thank you so much.

Dr Yao did a great job as always the pain from the blister was gone in a day and the swelling is going down, what ever it is that he uses works the shots are painful as I'm not good with needles but they work and he is very caring.

Hi, I was fortunate to be able to book an appointment two weeks after I tried to book an appointment at my physical. I was referred over there and there happened to be a cancellation, so I was fortunate to get in to see dermatology in two weeks. I know this is practically a year wait for most people, so that was a very fortunate benefit I got to reap. Otherwise, the situation and the appointment went very well.

Yearly appointments seem to be a thing of the past at Gundersen. Most of the time a return in one year seems to be 13 to 15 months.

Medical experience with medical team was awesome. Having to wait 15 months for next appointment is ridiculous. This is a poor business decision by Emplify administration. Suggest you go back to Gundersen Health System or better yet - Lutheran Hospital and Gundersen Clinic - back in the days when medical administration knew how to run hospital and clinic.

Too many health history questions in MyChart.

There is a language issue with Dr Yao, but he is understandable but sometimes I need to ask him to repeat. He also speaks softly so it could be my hearing.......the aid with him has always helped me understand. I do recommend Dr Yao.

Dermatology is severely UNDERSTAFFED! You need more physicians. Waiting 14 months for a follow up is UNREASONABLE. It's very disappointing. A friend told me to go to Neighborhood Clinic instead.

During a comprehensive skin cancer screening, is it standard practice for dermatologists to examine the entire body? Mine did not, and I'm unsure whether that is typical.

Dr Yao needs to slow down when dealing with elderly people. We felt everything was rushed. His face wasn't deadened when he took the biopsy. Hope someone calls about the results of the biopsy.

My only issue was English is not Dr. Yao's first language. There were times it was difficult to understand him even though I've seen him at least 3 times.

The patient has severe toenail fungus. We have tried to find someone to cut them, and to date have been unsuccessful. A referral would be helpful.
