When your appointment is at 10:00 and you don't get in to see the doctor until 11:40 you should be told to plan on waiting, shouldn't have to sit in waiting room and wonder if you have been forgotten.

I feel there are many patients scheduled to see the doctor do appointments tend to be rushed.

A very well run eye dept. So many patients but all the nurses and doctors keep things moving. Dr. Shah is wonderful. Explains everything well.

My appointment was to check if my eye had changed. I did not realize that any changes would be based on a check while I was wearing my glasses. Since I was wearing a different pair of glasses than my previous appointment -- ones that were several years old -- we were not able to judge if my eyes had changed. Since many people have multiple pairs of glasses, perhaps someone on the team could be designated to inform patients that they need to wear the same glasses for any return checks. Otherwise, my appointment was great. Everyone was very nice and they even got me in way early.

EVERYONE IS SO NICE AND THE WAITING IS MINIMAL. I WISH I COULD GET THIS DONE IN PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A GOOD EXPERIENCE

Dr. Shah seems too busy. Appears frustrated when you ask questions, particularly if he's answered a question in a prior visit. Didn't explain why I'll always have blurry vision after surgery.

Doctor not very personal and doesn't explain anything

It was so unfortunate that that doctor did not come in for an hour and a half I waited. We were there on time, early, and got in and the pictures were taken and then the doctor did not come for an hour and a half. The waiting room was more than packed. They didn't have chairs for all the people waiting. Very poor planning. I don't know if it's the manager of the department or if it's totally the doctor dashing in at the last minute, but only saw the doctor for two minutes after waiting an hour and a half. Totally unacceptable. This is a specialist for a special need. Very disappointing.

I was in, my appointment was for 1 or for 12:30 and I didn't get done until a quarter after 2. And I just thought that was an awful long time for an appointment. That's all I want to say.

I had to wait almost an hour and a half in between the tests they did and the doctor showing up. They didn't even do the tests that were scheduled and I was told that they didn't need to. It was extremely frustrating.

Our appointment was at 9am. We didn't get seen until noon. Totally unacceptable! We did have a few tests done, but had to remind staff regarding one test. The Dr. was rushed and spent very little time with us. Talking with other patients (6) in the waiting room, they said their appointment was scheduled at 9am too. Needless to say, we were very disappointed and expected better from Gundersen.

The entire process was very professional and courteous. Answered my question and explained the entire process.

The only "complaint" I have was the check out process. I checked out around 3:45 there was one person working with a patient and another person just leaving. The check out person working with the patient was trying to make an appointment for him and was put on hold. Meanwhile I was next in line but the line grew longer. There should of been someone else there to help with checkout. The two check in people were sitting there doing nothing. I felt sorry for that check out person. She did aplogize for the wait and very professional.

Dr Shah was fantastic!! Great bed side manner and was clear and thorough with explaining my procedure and care after (post-op)..

Clinic was more relaxed then usual with fewer patients. Tech answered my questions about what to expect going forward with the eye shots. I was asking about what to expect in the future and if the shots would be required for a lifetime. First time to use valet, what a great option, so friendly.

Dr took the time to ask how far away I lived. I was able to get lens measurements the same day so I didn't have to drive back in

Really appreciate what Dr Shah did for me (and his staff)

I had to wait an hour and a half. The doctor spent 3 minutes with me. The images of my eye did not load, so he couldn't show me anything. The entire experience was rude and disrespectful of my time.

I could tell doctor was in a rush, by the looks of the waiting room he had a lot of people to see

I had a very good surgeon. He was super. He had an assistant. His nurses were great. Gundersen was a good place to have my eye surgery done at. And I sure appreciate all what you did for me. I can see good again, and thanks a lot. Have a Merry Christmas. Bye-bye.

Was not prepared for post operative care as was not explained clearly before any surgery or after. Miserable experience.

Dr Shah is tge best. Very attentive and explains everything very clearly. He took excellent care of me. Great bedside manor. I have recommended him to my friends for their eye care needs.

I always feel right "at home" whenever I am at Gundersen/ Emplify, as I am a former employee and a life long patient!! Wouldn't consider going anywhere else!!

I realize that the Doctor is extremely well liked and vey good at what he does and very busy but if you have an appointment at 8:30 you do not expect to wait 2to 3 hours for a 5 minute visit with the Doctor.

I was a new patient to this facility and was extremely impressed with the kindness of everyone that treated me.

Appointment was at 9:30 and wasn't seen until 10:45. An extremely long wait time! But the doctor was very thorough with us and took his time, do I am assuming he was equally as thorough with previous patients.

Dr Shah was great and competent. He talks fast therefore it is hard to follow his diagnosis and next steps. This did not decrease my belief in his competency. But it would be more helpful to patients to understand his diagnosis and next steps.

I felt like a number not a person.

I had difficulty obtaining information on how to use the prescribed eye drops leading up to my surgery next Wednesday. I called in and asked the question, and I have still not received a definitive answer. I got an answer, but it conflicts with other answers that I got. So I need clarification on how to use the three eye drops that were three different eye drops that were prescribed for me. Thank you.

Dr. Shah is really a nice guy. He listens to what you have to say, and he chit-chat with you afterwards, too. I would recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Shah was great, but he was a little hard to understand. Other than that, I know he was very, very busy that day. And then his physician's assistant or his resident or whoever you want to call, he came in and sat down with us too. Otherwise, it was great, but Dr. Shah was just a little hard to understand. Other than that, everything was good. Thank you very much.

Get more help.

It was excellent. I am very grateful. However, The phone number extension given for follow up was not accurate and that experience trying to call for help after hours was difficult to manuever.

Appointment seemed rushed. Treatment and condition not explained to my satisfaction. Dr. Shah can't even have time to spend with patient to explain what is happening. Need to give more time to each patient. We are paying a large amount for a small amount of time.

Dr. Shah was very easy to talk too.

The only thing I felt was that the provider was in a hurry, couldn't seem to get out of the room fast enough. Same thing happened first time, I don't think he spent 2 minutes with me that time. I thought it was a one off, but again, seemed very rushed.

The rn and tech helping me with the eye injection were amazing

I use a portable oxygen unit that has a limited battery length. I had to wait a very long time and was worried about the battery life running out. As it turned out Dr Shah saw me in time. He commented that the staff should have prioritized me being I was using oxygen. He also apologized profusely for the wait time.

had 8:15 appt ; olivia was great and got me to waiting room by 8:30 ; did not get called to drs room till 9:30. dr did not come in till 9:50 and didnt get out till 10:10. if you wanted a worn out keister this was the day for you. if i had a 9:45 appt why wasi there at 8:00 ? not drs fault he was so busy should have had track shoes.

Like the Doc really well, absolutely no issues with him; but you need to consider getting another specialist as he is run ragged and there is a long wait time between eye pictures and actually seeing him.

Provider was running over 90 minutes late. No one explained what was happening, how long it would be, nothing. After I was put in a room a technician said they had computer problems. In the future it would be nice to know about how long the wait would be, ask if anyone needed anything. The waiting room was full, people standing, no offers of where else to go. Not a good experience

This was a difficult visit for me because it involves my eyes & I was quite apprehensive. Two of the staff that I saw before seeing the Dr were great but the third one was a little abrupt (regarding my hair in the photograph.) The Dr. was kind but I had a hard time understanding what the diagnosis actually was.

I am concerned about the wait time. The internal waiting room was standing room only. People were complaining about how long the appointment took.. I waited close to an hour after all of the specific eye tests (3 total) which took close to an hour. It took close to 2 hours from time of appointment to when I was finished.

Yes, I have been very impressed with my doctor except for my last appointment. Way too many people had to wait an hour and a half to see him, and he gave me maybe five minutes, did not sit down, did not talk to me, did not explain everything. So I was a little disappointed. Otherwise, he's been such a good doctor.

Dr did not introduce himself or even say hero. Was accompanied by intern.

I was very satisfied meeting a new doctor and the treatment that he recommended and I will be happy to go back and finish meeting with him in order to be treated. Thank you.

My appointment take about 3 hour of testing every 3 months. Everyone in this department is on top of their game. Well organized and knowledgeable. This department is like a well running machine. Many parts all working together smoothly.

I have not been able to connect to My Chart after my first time. I would very much like to see my test results.

Very pleased with the experience

I had to wait far too long in the hallway for some of the things to happen. At one point I waited 45 minutes in the hallway and another point I waited a half an hour. My appointment was at 12:30 and I did not get in to see Dr. Shah until well after 3. I did not get out of his office until after 3:30 and I think I only saw him for about five minutes at the most. I just did an inordinate amount of waiting and that was not what it should have been at all. I was very dissatisfied with that. He's a nice man and I thought he did a good job once I got to see him but I had to wait far too long.

Always get good care.

I am glad that my condition will be monitored.
