Dr. Carrington and all the Gundersen staff are the Best, they really care...

I always look forward to my appointments with Dr. Carrington. He is very knowledgeable and kind. He always takes the time to listen to me and answer my questions thoroughly. His nurses and assistants are great too! The entire team works together really well and makes me feel like a valued patient.

Dr. Carrington addressed all my concerns regarding my post-op healing and what to do for pain management.

Doctor was on time and I like that.

Mychart claims to be the answer for questions , etc. yet some options are too general.

I was asked during my check-in whether my injury was combat-related or not, which was weird because it doesn't really have bearing on how my insurance is handled. At the very least, I feel that's more for a doctor or health care professional to ask and not the clerk at check-in. Especially because my injury is combat incurred, which wasn't an option. And I guarantee that clerk wouldn't be able to define the difference between combat related, non-combat related, and combat incurred. So what do I answer, yes, or no? Or neither and try to educate the clerk on the difference. He never explained why he needed to know either. Just kind of a shitty thing to deal with as a veteran to be asked in front of people waiting. Because it's really none of your business. I've been seeing the same doctor, using the same community care practices for years, and I've never been asked. If it's for some metric or studying, ask if I wanted to be used to gather up data first. The VA knows, and they pay the bills, so ask them that question, or make it come from a health care professional in private.

Overall experience, which included My-Chart was rated low only because I don't like accessing My Chart as compared to previously arranged.

Check in is somewhat confusing. Noted a patient was checking out and did not go to the back of the line, but was quickly sent there by attendant. Difficult to see attendants in further positions back raising their hand when they are available. Sometimes it's difficult to get past crowded lines when entering and leaving. Poor set up in general is my observation....

Both the resident and doctor were exceptional and were genuine and kind. I felt seen and heard and they were invested in my future comfort and health.

Dr. Carrington is great! He answered my questions thoroughly and I didn't feel rushed. I like the fact that he gives precise numbers not just vague answers. He has a caring, compassionate manner and he is very knowledgeable. I feel confident in proceeding with him for my upcoming surgery. I have also been extremely pleased with everyone I've either talked to on the phone when I've called or those I've interacted with for my appointment. (For appointment check in and the gal who took me to the room) It's nice to get an actual person when calling, which has been my experience at Gundersen.

This was my second visit to Dr. Carrington in two years. As before, he was friendly, had familiarized himself with my case before coming into the exam room, was knowledgeable and efficient. Very good visit.

Great Team At Gundersen.

When setting up the appointment with Emplify employee I explained them that I need VA referral before I can have the appointment. This employee decided to remove the VA coverage for the appointment. I was able to get a referral before the appointment. Because this employee removed the VA coverage I was unable to checkin on MyChart until another Emplify employee was able to readd it back on.

Check-in / Check-out desk area was confusing.

Dr Carrington is AMAZING! He has almost literally given me a new foot! Not only is he a gifted surgeon, he is so personable an inspires confidence. He truly made me feel that my surgical success was important to him. When a patient is made to feel they are in it together with the surgeon, it is amazing. He is more than 10 out of 10. He is truly incredible!

Nurse appeared stressed.

Dr. Carrington is a wonderful provider and I hope one day he can get the electronic walking scanner we have chatted about at my appointments. He's a great asset

Haven't had a chance yet to view latest notes for visit. I was sent to East Bldg, 2nd floor. For appt but it was at one of the hospital 2md floor. Confusing but staff helped with a transport to and from the right place. Thanks for the help

Dr Carrington listens to my concerns and provides solutions that work for me. I appreciate the time he takes to listen and the concern that he has for my health and mobility.

Dr Carrington exudes confidence. This in turn gives me confidence going into my surgery.

Not happy about having my procedure done at UW Health in Madison when we have two hospitals in LA Crosse.
