Very good experience and Dr Funk was professional and still very personal.

GREAT!

We were there at 10:38, due to company before we left for the appointment. Were told we might be able to check in because we were 1 minute passed the time allowed. Finally got checked in. Called back right away. The fire alarms started going off. Loud speaker kept saying wait for further instructions. Finally quit going off. No explanation. Just said all was ok. It was a stressful appointment.

It was great, and very fast, in and out.

I am very happy to have Dr. Funk and the team there providing care and advice with my eye problems. As a senior citizen, sometimes I get a bit confused. Dr. Funk has been very patient and kind in getting me on the right path again. All the people from opening the door to the facility to checking in/out, and everyone in between are very helpful, kind, and informative.

Dr. Funk explained a lot in a short period of time. I know I need to return for my measurements (that couldn't be done at the same time because patients were backed up?) but giving a handout with the details of the different lenses and their pros and cons would have been extremely helpful. I did read his clinical notes and that has helped. I can now get some information from medical websites and can come with more questions when my measurement appt gets scheduled.

Apparently clinic called me about the appointment but I never the message. Luckily I checked with my local eye doctor to find out if they had made the referral. Also the checkin on my chart wouldn't let me go past the first page.

Have better signing on where to park and where patients are to enter the building. We entered in the door closed to where we parked and we were in the wrong area and there were two individuals that were extremely rude to my wife and I upon a very first visit to this location. I could have gone smoother if there was proper signing.

Dr Funk is a very good Doctor

If department was going to be closed week of Thanksgiving and you call to leave a message recording should tell you know one would be returning call , left message Monday at 10 heard no reply called Tuesday no reply called Wednesday was told they thought surgery department is closed till after thanksgiving so have gotten no response since monday

They were running 15 minutes late, if running late ,it would be great if they would announce that to the waiting room. Things happen, so I don't mind waiting if I know.

Dr. Funk and his assitant had to get down on the floor to hold a power cord in place so Dr. Funk could do the lazer procedure. The deserve additional compensation.

Quick, efficient and personable

During my recent visit, I was placed along with others into several different waiting and sub-waiting areas as things moved along, due to a shortage of rooms available. Overall, my appointment took longer than is typical due to the room situation. (Just an observation, not a criticism. I was treated very well!)

I'm happy with all treatment that I've received so far with Gunderson.

I spent almost 2 hrs for my appointment. I was left in the waiting room longer than necessary. I ended up needing to find a bathroom, and didn't know where to go to get back to my room. By the time I left, I was very upset. I don't want that to happen again!

I understood the procedure. I would have appreciated more information about what to expect after the surgery. Everyone involved was pleasant and helpful. Also, about the digital experience. Overall, I get tired of filling out the same information online over and over. It seems way too repetitive and unnecessary.

i don't like the changes in the MyChart procedures. It is difficult finding thing and today, it took a while to log in as it did not have my info to check in automatically. I had to go into passwords and find it again. Getting to where I can send a message to my GP is confusing also. Please remember that sometimes upgrading is not the best thing to do for the people who are on this end.

The only thing I wasn't surprised with was on the way home that they dilated my eyes and put some iodine in one drop and then two of them for dilating it. My eyes, they were blurry all day. I should have been told that to bring a driver with. I would have felt much better because the traffic in La Crosse was construction all over. Other than that, it

I worked in HealthCare for over 35 years. This is my third experience with Gundersen, and I am amazed at the care and compassion received by them. Every HealthCare sys should take a lesson from them.

Although our first experience with Emplify staff was welcoming and positive I was disappointed with all of the wait time between each test/ exam. The building was very , very cold to the point where a few patients asked for blankets. I also surprised when each time I was asked if my mom could transfer from her wheelchair to an exam chair it felt like we were the first ones to need accommodations for her inability to transfer out of her wheelchair. I was nervous about getting LASIK as I'm sure most people are. Dr Funk and all of the nurses were so knowledgeable, calming, and kind. They made me feel much more at ease and comfortable. They explained everything each step of the way so I'd know what to expect. I would highly recommend Dr Funk and his staff for any eye procedure.
