My experience with the provider was good. I would comment on the technician that did the initial exam and eye pressure check. She said she was new but done training. She struggled with the pressure check taking 2 tries for one eye and 3 tries for the other. I feel she could use additional training in this regard.

I felt comfortable in the whole vi situation and in capable hands. In all was a nice visit .

- As far as Dr. Herde informed me as to what to do if I had questions later on, maybe he did but definitely not an issue. - Dr. Herde's new assistant is a massive and most welcomed replacement. Massive! Professional yet very nice and likable.

The front desk staff and techs in the hallways were so loud that I could barely here what the PL was asking me as I checked in. I walked back and techs were openly talking about patients so I could hear. And people coming to get patients would just yell the first name into a very large waiting area. One patient and I had the same first name and both came up together. If he hadn't asked, "which Mike?" either one of us could have gone back with that tech. The care providers themselves were great. But your customer service with PLs and techs is really low quality. And not just at this office.

I was amazed at how smoothly and quickly the visit went.

I was a walk in appointment at the eye department in La Crosse and was very satisfied with the visit and the easiness of getting in for the appointment

The tech was very patient during my vision exam.

I had a possibly serious issue regarding my eyes that needed prompt attention, but I needed to wait 5 days to be seen by my provider because were fully booked. Not given an alternative. I was very perplexed. Fortunately everything turned out OK.

Thanks to Dr. Herde for everything he did to evaluate my current eye problems. I appreciate his thoroughness in explaining what had happened and what to do as followup. Also, thanks to everyone who assisted him in some way. I feel well cared for.

I'm getting used to MyChart. I don't care for the reminders like, "are you there yet". I'm on my way or waiting in the clinic when I get the message. Does this help the check-in process? I usually don't reply.

Great experience considering I was a walk in with a potentially bad eye issue (retinal detachment). We concluded the retina was not detached but the vitreous was.

I have always used My Chart to check in online. Since Gundersen switched to Emplify, the check in process has not been working well. I find this frustrating.

Dr. Herde easy to talk to and very professional. The technician that did my eye test is wonderful. I hope she stays on the Dr's team.

I've experienced healthcare here and in California...much prefer the process here.

Everyone was great and on time.

I am not sure why the wait between when I had the field screening and actually seeing a technician and then the doctor was so long. I sat for at least 45 minutes between the two. I realize there will always be some down time, but the wait yesterday was entirely too long. I checked in at 2PM as I was asked to do and I left the eye department at 4PM. Waaaay too long.

Efficient and the tech who did most of the work was awesome!

They were very good in all their testing. I have an appointment in a year to recheck everything. I really liked his assistant and she did a very good exam and tests before Dr. Herde came in.

I go out of my way to have my ophthalmology work done at Gundersen because of the professionalism and competency and I credit the department of saving my eyesight many years ago and since then and all follow-ups I've had great confidence in their work. So thank you.

I called to set up an appointment for my annual vision exam and whatever additional tests the doctor had ordered. My primary appointment was for my prescription renewal and that was not scheduled. The DR stated we should have done everything (full exam) but was only scheduled for the previous tests for recheck two years ago. I am frustrated that I have to come back again because my primary reason for the appointment wasn't scheduled and wasnt completed.

Your parking lot is a design disaster. Too many curbs, turns, especially bad when snow covers things. Not good on a summer day either. Traffic going in all directions trying to find their way out.

Pre visit questions didn't fit the provider and were never addressed or reviewed.

Everyone is so kind and helpful from people in the hallway giving directions to the care team taking time with the exam and to answer all questions that make me feel well cared for. Not rushed though at any point

The Ophthalmology technician I had was amazing. I think it was the best eye refraction I've ever had. She was friendly, professional, patient and very caring. She deserves recognition for her abilities, personality and they way she represents Gundersen.

The woman who called my name and took me to the examining room did not initially introduce herself and walked ahead of me with no interaction until we reached the examining room. Everything was fine after that. A little more personal warmth initially would have been appreciated.

The visit was excellent!

In the waiting area the seats were all taken and I needed to wait for a place to sit and I was in pain at that time. I notice other patients waiting for a place to sit. My physician apologized profusely for me having to wait so long due to a severe shortage of technicians in the eye department. Hope this can be resolved soon. Thank you

I think everything was fine.

I have been very happy with all my care at Gunderson/Emplify and the eye care is great.

Everyone other than the provider gave a sense of being in a hurry like I should not ask a question because it would slow down their process. Questions are asked rapid fire making it evident that response is not really important, that its just being used to fill in a blank. I think this questioning, I do understand the importance of the questions, but the lack of interest in the responses makes a person feel like no questions should be asked for clarification or that the individual would not know how to answer the question if I did ask. Just to test out my theory, I asked why a certain question was important and received a very rote response.

Appointment was for 8am. It was a little after 9am to see Doctor.

I got in ahead of my regular scheduled appointment, as they were running ahead of schedule. I'm glad I was early, as I usually am!

It took forever to check in , seemed very dis organized , 2 receptionist 7 people in line .. didn't get checked in until 10 min past my appt and arrived 15 min early
