I called to set up an appointment for my annual vision exam and whatever additional tests the doctor had ordered. My primary appointment was for my prescription renewal and that was not scheduled. The DR stated we should have done everything (full exam) but was only scheduled for the previous tests for recheck two years ago. I am frustrated that I have to come back again because my primary reason for the appointment wasn't scheduled and wasnt completed.

Your parking lot is a design disaster. Too many curbs, turns, especially bad when snow covers things. Not good on a summer day either. Traffic going in all directions trying to find their way out.

Pre visit questions didn't fit the provider and were never addressed or reviewed.

Everyone is so kind and helpful from people in the hallway giving directions to the care team taking time with the exam and to answer all questions that make me feel well cared for. Not rushed though at any point

The Ophthalmology technician I had was amazing. I think it was the best eye refraction I've ever had. She was friendly, professional, patient and very caring. She deserves recognition for her abilities, personality and they way she represents Gundersen.

In the waiting area the seats were all taken and I needed to wait for a place to sit and I was in pain at that time. I notice other patients waiting for a place to sit. My physician apologized profusely for me having to wait so long due to a severe shortage of technicians in the eye department. Hope this can be resolved soon. Thank you

I have been very happy with all my care at Gunderson/Emplify and the eye care is great.

Everyone other than the provider gave a sense of being in a hurry like I should not ask a question because it would slow down their process. Questions are asked rapid fire making it evident that response is not really important, that its just being used to fill in a blank. I think this questioning, I do understand the importance of the questions, but the lack of interest in the responses makes a person feel like no questions should be asked for clarification or that the individual would not know how to answer the question if I did ask. Just to test out my theory, I asked why a certain question was important and received a very rote response.

Appointment was for 8am. It was a little after 9am to see Doctor.

I got in ahead of my regular scheduled appointment, as they were running ahead of schedule. I'm glad I was early, as I usually am!

I was 15-20 minutes late because I didn't leave home early enough, plus there was a 2-lane merger into one. I was told I could be seen but there would be a wait time. I said I was grateful for that. I only had to wait 10 minutes. Everyone was courteous.

Somethings on MyChart are getting too techy for Seniors.

The check-in person, the check-out person were both great. Dr. Herde is great. I hate to say this, but for the third year in a row, his assistant totally lacks a personality. However, she is competent.

I was very impressed that Gundersen got me a live interpreter. I learned a lot from Dr Herde by using the interpreter instead of using VRI. I was very happy after the visit. Please continue to get me an interpreter. My life depends on an interpreter, not VRI. I do appreciate it. I will continue visiting Gundersen as long as there is an interpreter for me. Thank you again.

I am confident that my exam was careful and complete.

The nurse is more than just a little strange. I believe the Dr. probably got the diagnosis right but I have reservations because the last pair of glasses I got from that department were absolutely garbage. I didn't take them back because I didn't believe it would get better when it was that far off to begin with.

Thank you to all staff for their professional courtesy and kindness. I was treated very well.

I've had the RN before, and she always comes off as a tad abrasive, especially when correcting her directions on where to look, what to look at, etc. Perhaps a bit more patience and empathy with the patients would be appreciated... It's just a routine eye exam, after all. No one should feel like a fool just because they weren't able to follow her directions very well.

I am struggling with resetting username and password. I am working on that. It would be helpful if there was someone I could call.

The Doctor i seen was very professional and easy to work with. Explained my issues. Took it seriously. Looked at the notes and did every test he thought. Didnt find anything wrong with my eye but he gave it an 100% effort.

I checked in online and it was very easy. A receptionist still verified that I was checked in, and I appreciated that. Every person I dealt with was friendly. Virtually no wait time, I was in and out very quickly. Dr Herde is very nice and explained things well. 10/10 experience.

Unable to get my chart app on my phone so have no experience with digital technology. Dr. Herde and staff are the best. They are an asset to your organization! Thank you

Finally, after years of visits, I felt I was listened to. I now have appt with a specialist to "fix" the problem.

The technician who did the eye testing had a voice that wasn't easy to understand at times. Had to have her repeat what she was saying a few times.

I was a walk in. Treated within 45 minutes. Great job.
