Michael A Leone, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Leone for 10 years and he has been a wonderful doctor. He truly invested in my care. He listens to my concerns and we make the plans of attack together. He makes sure I understand what to do. He is interested in the whole me and knows about my other health issues. Dr. Leone always tells me to call if I need to see him before the next follow up appointment.

Both the Doctor and his nurse were friendly, explained things as they did them so my visit was a good experience.

I was referred to neurology by primary. They don't really explain what they are actually doing or how they are measuring results. The doctor was in the room less than 10 minutes. Not sure if he was able to look much at my history. It feels like I took a test which I couldn't study for and you only get one try. My doc will get results on Monday, so I will see what she says.

Both Dr Leone and the nurse were great. They were sympathetic about discomfort during the procedure. More importantly they explained what they were doing. Both were respectful and interactive. Dr.Leone gave me detailed information and answered all my questions.

Dr. Leone is a provider who can stand back and look at the totality of my physical condition in a way that builds confidence in his analysis. Good communicator. Only small hiccup is when I went to check out the lines to see a scheduler for follow-up were long and slow. Might just have been the time of day - really a singular event for me. Not a problem. I can deal with that easily. The electronic communication was not smooth. I got an email that among other things asked me to check in on line. I selected that option but I was able to connect using the link in the email. I had to leave that frustrating effort and just independently enter Mychart. To be truthful the on-line check-in is not nearly as efficient from a patient's view than is doing it upon arrival. Of course, I understand the clinic's preference to do it on line because of the "man-hour" cost saved in the check-in line.

The Dr. was up to date on my chart and my MRI,felt comfortable he was on top of my problems...

Dr. Leone is a very thoughtful physician. I trust him to manage my medical problem.

Dr. Leone answers all my questions both in office and through MyChart. He's helping me through this new journey and has been most helpful. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Leone is fantastic! He explains everything in layman's terms and listens. He truly cares about his patients and gives compassionate care.

Dr Leone is not only extremely talented, and intelligent, but he also truly cares about his patients and works with them and other physicians involved in their care to achieve the highest outcome possible. Dr. Leone deals with extremely complicated cases in a sensitive and caring manner. Gundersen is lucky to have him. As a retired physician, I appreciate everything he's doing for me and my family.

It would be helpful since you want folks to check- in prior to an appointment, if when you advise you are in the waiting room for the system to note that rather than telling you to check-in the old fashioned way by standing in line.

Dr. Leone is probably one of the best at dumbing down a crazy complicated field, to layperson understandable. That is no small feat and he does it wonderfully.

The people that I worked with were courteous. They used their crafts a little bit. In the reception area, that was the person that I addressed initially that was a little bit standoffish, just a little bit. The person that I actually did the work at the counter with was really good. But I understand people being busy and then trying to concentrate on their work. I look forward to meeting with Dr. Leone. I learn a lot about my condition. He explains how it works and how my muscles react. It helps me understand how best to take care of myself.

My experience during check out was not pleasant. It was clear there was a shortage of staff to do this process. The physical set up in this area on level 3 did not allow for private conservation with the staff and enough room for the crowd that formed by a large backup of patients waiting for service. It interfered with others checking in and staff trying to get patients for their appointments and simple people trying to move to the exits when leaving. I felt too close for air quality and I was so glad I remembered my mask for my appointments. Please pass along my experience. Staff was great in how they handled this and pushed through to help us! I'm sure they were stressed as well.
