Great staff and doctors!

The provider seemed very rushed and I felt a bit like an inconvenience. The initial tech who did the majority of the work-up was great and took the time to explain things, so he was great!

It was a very successful experience . Dr. Megan Hafner solved a problem I had been dealing with for a long time. I was very grateful.

I cannot access my chart.Useless

Megan was very friendly and professional. She explains everything she is doing and what she is looking for throughout the appointment.

The Dr & staff are friendly & efficient.

The schedulers didn't care that I wanted to see anyone before my April appointment because I was having double vision.

It was a very good experience everything went as well as it was suppose to very professional

Dr Hafner is wonderful. She is extremely professional and friendly.

Provider was fantastic. The tech made me feel like a burden and did not engage one bit. I'm there for a specific reason so I get it. Just a very impersonal interaction.

I hate going in to the eye doctor, so avoid it as much as possible, but my experience this time was great, and I'm more likely to go in every year or two now

At last year's appointment I saw Dr Hafner in Onalaska & assumed that's where this appointment would be. At no time while making the appointment did anyone tell me that Dr Hafner only worked in LaCrosse so I ended up going to the wrong location

Very good except I got stuck in the elevator on my way leaving my appointment for 40 minutes.

Dr. Hafner treated me with care and understanding. She was also very professional.I'm very happy with my care in optometry!

The person I met with before Dr Haffner was not very personable. She was very robotic and acted like she did not want to be there. I could hear her in the hallway with the next patient saying the exact same thing word for word. On the other end of the spectrum, Dr. Haffner was amazing. She is extremely personable and genuinely cared about me.

Dr. Hafner displays a wonderful personality when dealing with her patients.

I was told to make a walk-in appointment but I was not told that walk-ins are not accepted from noon to one. And I showed up at noon for my work break from work and I couldn't get checked in until 1 o'clock. That was a little frustrating, but luckily my employer was Understanding.

Dr. Hafner is one of the best providers of care that I have ever had at any Clinic or Hospital.

Dr. Hafner is a joy. She explains both my husband's and my eye healthcare in a way we understand and is age appropriate to our current eye experiences. We enjoy attending our yearly appointments.

This was my first time going to the eye doctor at Gundersen. Everything was great with the visit until checkout. I needed to fulfill my 6 months supply of contacts that insurance gives me an allowance for. The lady handling the contact area informed me that my insurance didn't cover contacts. I told her that can't be true because for the last 8 years I insurance has covered contacts when I went to a different provider. I asked her if she needed to see my vision insurance card and she said no it wouldn't make a difference. At this point I'm getting very frustrated. I asked she go ask someone and she took my over to the eye glass area where the lady there informed me that insurance doesn't cover contacts because Gundersen doesn't take vision insurance only medical. So I have two issues. You have staff that is not informed well enough to say this is why your insurance doesn't cover it. If she would have communicated you don't take vision insurance therefore your contacts aren't covered, it would have saved me major frustration with her. Instead she insisted insurance doesn't cover it without an explanation of why they have for the last 8 years. I find it outrageous that you do not take vision insurance. Being that you are an eye doctor, this should be a given. I can only imagine how many people have vision insurance and don't know any better when your staff informs them that insurance doesn't cover glasses or contacts when in actuality their vision insurance does. I'm sure they are spending out of pocket when not needed because they are not informed by your staff. I'm not sure if this is just an oversight by your department or a blatant disregard to inform them to promote sale of product. I truly hope it's the former.

I had never seen Dr. Hafner before and I was very impressed with her. She was very friendly and very approachable. She gave me all of her attention and she did a marvelous job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anybody. She is pretty amazing.

The check in process online had enough "glitches" in it that made navigating it questionable. Personnel and doctor were great, but website could use something different!

Dr. Megan Hafner is an absolute treasure! She's definitely an asset to the eye department.

It was just disappointing. I felt like I was being reprimanded for scheduling the first available appointment and having to go back to work so I couldn't get my eyes dilated.

I have never been treated so poorly by your check in staff. The individual tried to claim I had an insurance plan that I had never heard of. My card is on file as I do all my care at Gundersen. I even provided my card and he treated me like I was trying to do some kind of fraud. My insurance is through my wife and he had me spell both my wife's first and last name as well as provide her birthday date. He never apologized her made any kind of eye contact with me. It was the worst experience I have ever encountered at Gundersen.

I didn't like the fact that they waited until after my eye exam then tell that they didn't except my insurance to actually pay for the eye glasses. They could have told me earlier.

Keep up the good work.

Couldn't check in MyChart due to travel screen questions. Can't those be added to online check in? $84 for contact lens fitting seems quite steep.

Gundersen Health has been the health care provider for me and my family for over 40 years. We are so fortunate to have this level of care in our area.

Should have waited to get in with main optometrist.

The check in process was long and tedious. Some off the questions asked seemed ridiculous.

The doctor should have more devices for show and tell so we can see what we want and what we need. Her supply was quite limited.

Dr Hafner was so kind and did a great job. Being able to get in within 15 minutes of a walkin was amazing !

After having visited out of network optometrists for the last few years, this was a pleasant experience. The newly streamlined process of picking a provider is far improved over 2 years ago, when it required significantly more lead time to find a doctor and then line up an appointment.

Megan is great! Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.

I'm happy that can depend on the care I have gotten from local medical services.
