Because this was a virtual visit, we were made to logon 15 minutes prior to the actual appointment. I was not told that my appointment was actually 15 minutes later than I was told to logon. The actual appointment started over 30 minutes later than when I was told to logon. This was the only part of the appointment that was very disappointing. The rest of the appointment went very well. I think there has to be respect for the patient's time. In no way is it necessary to have 15 minutes to log onto a virtual visit. And there should be some notice if the appointment is going to start later than the intended time. If not for the convenience of being able to have the visit at home instead of going in, I will second-guess myself before doing another virtual visit.

Everything is good at Gundersen/Emplify. All offers, in-person, video visit and mychart are real good!

Very basic. Not very comprehensive.

Dr. Howell (and the resident she had) were both wonderful! They both thoroughly listened to my concerns and made me feel like my child got a thorough evaluation. They both talked to my child directly and asked her questions to ensure they were getting all of the necessary information. Dr. Howell explained what she needed to do for an exam and why. She made sure my child felt safe and comfortable. Dr. Howell made sure all of my questions were answered. A wondeful experience!

Dr howell had a social worker come in who was very helpful and recommended a program that I should have been told about 18 years ago. This program is a gas reimbursement through Medicare. Dr Howell also prescribed a heart monitor for Oliver which I believe he desperately needs and listened carefully to our complicated family history and all of our concerns. Very productive appointment!

Dr.Howell is wonderful!

When we arrived, Dr Howell was running a little late (this an happen) and the nursing staff offered us an appointment with another provider (which I chose not to take). We were updated on times and everything went very smoothly. This was a kind attention to detail and helped all to run as smoothly as ever. Thank you so much for the kind and efficient service.

When we found out my 2 boys' previous pediatrician was retiring/moving from the Winona location, we were not only heartbroken, but also worried whether we would find another pediatrician we clicked with. However, from our first appointment with Dr. Howell, we loved her. After appointments with Dr. Howell, my boys will often say how much they like her, without any prompting from me. She has great bedside manner; she truly listens; she is thorough; she has a great sense of humor; and most importantly, you can tell she truly cares. We had the option to go with a nurse practitioner in pediatrics on the Winona campus (20 minute drive for us) after our previous pediatrician left, but my family unanimously decided we would gladly drive further to the LaCrosse campus (50 minutes) so we could have Dr. Howell.

The staff members checking us in were efficient, friendly, and professional. They set the tone for the day. Dr. Howell is an excellent communicator and was thorough and kind. Overall, I love this practice!
