I was checked in and brought to the room at 10:50 to wait for the Dr. I sat in the room for 65 minutes waiting for the Dr. My appointment was scheduled at 11:05. After being in the room for a half hour I stepped into the hallway to look for someone to find out why I was waiting so long. Assistant stated Dr. was still in with previous patient. I waited another 10 and asked again and Assistant stated previous patient was talking a considerable amount. The 3rd time I looked for Assistant I stated I had another appointment I needed to be at. She stated soon. Dr. came in the room after 65 minutes. I've never waited this long for an appointment. I've been in Customer Service my entire life and I had to schedule a day off from work to get to this and other appointments. I was unable to make 1 of these 3 due to this long wait time. There needs to be something in place for Dr.'s to state to patients they have a certain amount of time to get to their patients that are scheduled for the day and it would be great to have it implemented by email, a letter, notice taped to the door of each room. All of these 3 would be great. With this being said... The Dr and Assistant did great at giving me the care I needed. The wait time issued needs to be resolved with patients that take up the next patients time that is scheduled so the patient feels valued and the Dr. can get to all the patients she is scheduled for in her workday. Thank you so much for listening. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. Looking forward to the feedback and something being implemented to remedy this situation. Thank you!
