I was satisfied with my visit and he was very nice to talk to. Thank you.

I appreciated the efficiency, and kind helpfulness of the staff from way finders to check-in clerk to nurse . Dr Waddell was very brisk and quick with his diagnoses. His manner was evasive but when pressed with more questions on the treatment he answered all questions.

My Doctor and the entire staff at Gunderson LaCrosse are great. Thank you

The valet service was a God send considering the reason I was there, and my driver was my mother, who has a difficult time with distances. Everyone was pleasant from the valet to registration rep to the nurse, doctor, etc.

I found the staff mostly very congenial and nice and caring, and I found the doctor to be rather arrogant and not helpful. I felt like he didn't understand why I was there and really was hoping that I would leave quickly. I didn't care for him at all. Thank you.

Dr needs to take time to explain benefits and options better. Kept asking me what I wanted, and I was hoping he would explain benefits of having surgery. Hopefully follow up will go better. Dr was polite, just didn't seem to want to explain in detail

Dr. Waddell was very courteous, empathetic, knowledgeable, and thorough in his explanation of what my MRI revealed of my back issues. He explained what my option were and what I should do next. Very pleasant experience.

Happy with care, and only have to wait 2 weeks for my surgery

I could have gotten better advice from a bartender than I did from waddell. Even my wife commented about how inconsiderate he was.

The check-in at the place was easy. And the nurse that came out later and picked me in was courteous. And when the doctor come in, I think he could have had a better attitude. I don't know if he was busy or what, but I never seen a doctor just kind of want to get in and out and done so fast. And took my paperwork that I had, told me I only needed the one paper for going back to work. And he took everything that I had. And I explained to him he only needed the one paper. And he still kept everything. And I told the checkout desk when I got done what they did. And he didn't really know what to do about it. And it just took forever to check out when I got out there because they're short-staffed, I suppose, on the check-out side.

The experience surrounding my appointment exceeded expectations (no wait for scheduling, gracious check-in, great directions ahead of appointment). The appointment itself was odd. At times our conversation was helpful, but at times I felt not closely listened to. There was a marked lack of eye contact from the provider, which made me feel disconnected (even though I know other people who struggle with eye contact while talking or listening). My brain told me not to worry about it, but my emotional self felt dismissed.

The provider I heard is excellent at surgery however his bedside manner during the appointment was horrible. He is very disrespectful.

The neurosurgeon did not even introduce himself to me or my husband. He did not acknowledge canceling my appointment last week the day of the appointment. He seemed hurried and annoyed with our valid questions. His approach caused me to feel that I am worried about a fairly good size brain tumor for no reason at all. He did not inquire about any symptoms other than double vision and drooping eye. He completely dismissed my increase in headaches.

I did like the loss of the Gundersen branding. Why not leave it Gundersen DBA Emplify? Feels like Emplify was shoved down everyone's throat without consideration for brand loyalty

I had filled out my pre registration and still had to fill it out on paper. What was the point? Dr Waddell was condescending and had no empathy. He was arrogant and said radiologists don't know what they are looking at. He said he didn't need to read reports he went by what he looked at himself. When a doctor runs down others in the medical field based on his opinions it speaks to me that he feels he is over and above everyone else and disregards their opinions and mine. He didn't listen to my concerns about the pain I have been and am in. I would not recommend him to anyone else. The rest of the staff was very courteous and efficient.

I was not happy that my doctor didn't request an x-ray to see how my injury was healing at the 6 week mark

Dr. Waddell was very kind and helped to lessen my fears.

The surgeon seemed to be vert knowledgeable about what needed to be done. I think that he treats you as you too know everything. He had very little to say. Basically he stated that it is a simple procedure and it will take an hour. I almost feel like an assembly line, pick your spot and away we go.
