My Chart used to allow us to send questions directly to our Primary Care provider so referrals, pre visit tests, etc., could be coordinated ahead of appointments. This visit was not well planned--it should have been with Orthopedics hand specialist.

This was first appointment with Dr Bakk. He took his time to listen to my history of issues and what we will do going forward.

Dr. Bakk seemed interested and caring . He explained things clearly to me. He suggested options i have not previously heard about. I am hoping that I can finally get some relief with his plan. I look forward to my 2 month followup.

Dr. Bakk was truly incredible and I hope he can be recognized. I always feel nervous coming into an appointment with a new provider; appointments and communicating effectively can be difficult in general for me, and even more so when there is a power dynamic happening(provider to patient). And while I've experienced so many great providers, I've also experienced some interactions that left me feeling judged and misunderstood and ultimately negatively impacted the care I received. Sometimes it seems like my words don't matter, and they're not listened to and remembered accurately or taken seriously; the negative stigma and inaccurate stereotypes that surround several of my other diagnosis (mental illness and autism specifically) are sometimes impossible for me to successfully override so the provider is seeing and treating me as an individual and not generalizing care in ways that are harmful. I do understand why this can happen, and in almost every experience I have with providers, it is clear their heart and intentions are beautiful. Unfortunately, that just doesn't always mean the impact matches that intention. And so that's why I wanted to write all of this, because Dr. Bakk's good intentions caused a much needed positive impact. He had some new ideas of things that could help manage my condition that I haven't tried yet, he listened to my short explanation of how I might communicate a little differently and not understand all of his questions due to my literal processing of language. And he didn't just listen , he listened and then adjusted his communication to support mine . That doesn't happen to me very often at all , and I didn't even ask . He just did it like it was no big deal , and it allowed me to feel safe helps me process things more quickly and makes appointments much more productive . We were able to cover so much and that's because he created a space that made that possible, and had the expertise and knowledge that I needed from my provider . So I hope this makes sense, And at the very least, I hope he can know that he made a big difference And it's providers like him that give me hope, that I can get the care and help I need to manage my health conditions in a way that could allow me to have a hopeful future. So a big thank you to him and I hope he can be recognized in some way for going the extra mile.

Dr Bakk was great and helped me look further and what is the cause what happening. Still haven't found full answers.. but helped me with what's next for me.

I found Dr. Bakk to be very knowledgeable and thorough! He spent a lot of time with me answering all my questions and explaining my MRI from a few years ago. I feel very confident he will work with me to solve any additional concerns I may have in the future! Very satisfied and impressed!

Dr. Bakk is great. He came into the waiting area and went directly to us. We chatted on the way back and throughout the testing. He explained what the tests would show and because he was conducting the procedure he told us what the tests showed. At the end, he took time to recap what the tests showed and what that meant for me. In this day of rushed appointments and having techs do the testing, it was refreshing to have the provider conduct the tests and take time to explain what the results showed for now and what I could expect in the future.

Dr. Bakk was thorough and looked at previous tests. He explained tests, diagnosis, and signs/symptoms thoroughly.

Dr. Bakk is a phenomenal doctor. I was very impressed by him from the moment I met him. I have been dealing with these issues for over 15 years & I have notes beyond belief. Dr. Bakk actually read my chart, made himself very aware of every test, scan, x-ray & medication I have done or been on. He asked me questions that probably should have been asked to me years ago. Dr Bakk impressed me like no other doctor has. I have already passed his name on to many other people already. Not only is he a very smart man, Dr. Bakk is very kind, considerate, compassionate, & understanding of the patients feelings! You should do anything it takes to keep a doctor with his knowledge!

Dr. Bakk was thorough and took in everything I said and gave me hope fir a different diagnosis and considered what I didn't want.
