I had to go to the ER in a different city for an excruciating abscess, and afterwards the next day I was still in horrific pain and I called gynecology, left a message for the nurses, and was called back within 30 minutes by a nurse who was so kind and empathetic, listened to everything I told her and asked detailed questions, and she reassured me she will talk to the providers ASAP about my pain call me back right after. They were able to get me in for an appointment that same day, early afternoon. Dr. Stief is the most caring, validating and empathetic provider I have EVER encountered in my life. She could tell how much pain I was in and validated my feelings that I should definitely not be in anywhere near this kind of pain. She immediately put my personal comfort and pain relief above all else. She tried to do a small exam, but immediately stopped from my pain. She said she's going to schedule an outpatient surgery that same day for me in order to do a proper in-depth to see what needs to be properly done for the abscess, and she would not let me go home in such horrible pain and with an infection. She got me into the post-op room ASAP even though my surgery wasn't scheduled for several hours because she wanted me to have pain relief immediately. I'm so unbelievably grateful for Dr. Stief. She truly is so compassionate of a provider that I can't put it into words. I cried tears of relief when I met with her because she took my pain very seriously and her most important concern was addressing my pain before doing anything else. She was so thorough in describing to me everything that was going to happen and would happen after surgery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Stief.

I appreciate specialists coming from La Crosse, so I don't have to drive up there. Thank you for providing that service for us!!!
