I don't understand why the orthopedic doctor I saw at Gundersons would not give me a straight honest and direct answerI back. I feel he went around the bush. I also feel that when I asked direct answers twice in a conversation I didn't get direct honest answers back from him. I also felt the check in people at the orth visit were wishing they weren't there. I have used Gunderson for 2 years and I'm seriously considering switching to Mayo. It's unfortunate because I have enjoyed many people who are employed with Gunderson but my dissatisfaction over the last 9 months is steering me to a different medical facility

I don't know what was going on outside of my exam room, but I had to wait 75 minutes after my x-rays before seeing Dr. Chen.

I recently saw Dr. Eric Chen for a post-surgery follow-up, and I cannot say enough good things about him. He walked into the room fully prepared, sat down, and patiently went through two full pages of my questions without ever making me feel rushed or like a burden. Dr. Chen explained everything in clear, understandable language - from my incision concerns and swelling to my medication changes and what to expect in the next stages of healing. He was honest but reassuring, and I left feeling heard, informed, and genuinely cared for. It is rare to find a surgeon who combines such excellent clinical skill with such kindness and patience. I highly recommend Dr. Chen to anyone needing an orthopedic surgeon. I feel very fortunate to have him guiding me through this recovery.

Dr Chen did an amazing job of putting my ankle back together when I wasn't sure I would be able to walk on it again. He and his staff were always very positive and reassuring.

The Ortho Dept from ED to floor ro surgery to Dr Chen-who by the way is the greatest- could not of been more accommodating. Knowledgeable staff kind and so patient centered. The office staff beginning to end was AWESOME THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH

Dr. Chen referred me to a podiatrist because of my tendon and I was very happy with that and I've been very happy with being able to address my Achilles tendon tear and I appreciate it. I tried in California and that didn't work so I came back to good old Gundersen.
