Strictly limited to CAD, nothing beyond the heart. All specialists are very narrow focused, one organ at a time. Medical care has lost a holistic approach to care of the person. Wonderful to have focused knowledge but I miss the personal approach. Nothing personal, just the trend.

I am satisfied except for my blood pressure. It was perfect b4 taking meds. 112 over 72. Now it is getting lower and lower. Now 102 /49. I was told to stop a med at evening for 2 weeks and see how my balance is doing.

This visit was a waste of my time as well as the practitioners time. I was there to discuss my upcoming consultation with the doctor who does the cardiac ablation I was told would benefit me (during my last hospitalization for AFib) This doctor informed me I would have to be given a contrast dye that has irreversibly damaged my kidneys in the past as part of the ablation process . This severe allergy is in my medical records. I don't understand how the ablation could even be recommended to me if the imaging with contrast is mandatory. The contrast is detrimental to my health. My kidneys were so badly harmed by the dye that I live with permanent chronic kidney disease.This visit caused me great anxiety and money I do not have to waste. It was a massive waste of the practitioners and my time and energy. I still feel ill today from the stress that this visit caused yesterday. The practitioner is a lovely woman and a very good doctor but This visit yesterday should not have been scheduled. It was an awful, anxiety producing, scary experience.

Ms. Van Auken is an incredible provider who explains issues clearly and in a pleasant manner. She always goes the "extra mile" in explaining complex issues. During my recent visit she also asked lifestyle questions that have led me to pursuing a sleep study assessment. I believe this is an assessment that may help. I feel blessed to have her as my provider.

I appreciated the time that Van Auken spent with me. She was professional, courteous and a great listener. She is a true asset to the health community. I also appreciated the clinic for working me in. I went to the wrong location (La Crosse instead of Onalaska) and was late. Everyone worked with me to help the appointment happen.
