Care Philosophy

I am passionate about working alongside my patients and their caregivers to be able to diagnose their issues and develop their personalized treatment plan. I love it when I am able to explain something in a way that makes a patient say, "That makes sense. Nobody's ever explained that to me that way before." I was inspired to pursue physical therapy after babysitting for a child with cerebral palsy — taking part in their therapy sessions — and after experiencing physical therapy firsthand when I suffered a neck fracture in high school.

Personal Statement

I have a long history of advocacy and volunteerism with both adult and childhood disability organizations. I have volunteered with camps organized by agencies that advocate for disabilities, and I have taken part in diversity campaigns such as "Differences Gotta Have 'Em" and "Journey to a Hate Free Millennium," which celebrate all forms of diversity. I also volunteer with Western Wisconsin Wheels to help fund and build adaptive tricycles for patients with mobility issues.
