This was my first appointment with this provider. He seemed "uncomfortable" talking with me about my condition/issues.

I have had debilitating symptoms of CKD for several years, with symptoms that are surely the result of renal failure. It frustrates me to hear that I'm doing just fine and that I need not concern myself because my CKD is only 3b while my life is considerably changed because of suffering. I know that some people don't have noticeable symptoms until they reach a more advanced stage. Well, why, then, can't someone with a better GFR have symptoms representative of a more advanced diagnosis? I told the nurse that I have a chemical sensitivity condition and that I thought it may be responsible for these symptoms, but the Dr. did not address them..I was frustrated after the appointment was over. I want to be listened to, but I am not experiencing that. I may stop even seeing a Dr. for this ailment.

Staff member that put me into a room was very upbeat and friendly. Gave me a heads up about major computer issues going on. It was not disruptive. Dr Balaji reads my chart ahead of time and thoroughly checks everything that has happened since I've seen him last. Even though he is a "specialist ", I feel he is most in tune with my big health picture. He answers all questions, is not rushed.
