Just got new insurance which prompted the change to Emplify. Yearly eye exam team did great job. Setting up My Chart and insurance related items were cumbersome. Overall good experience

Your entire staff at Gundersen was so helpful. Dr Ashley Herde was kind. Thorough and would recommend her highly.

The check in staff was not that friendly at all but everyone else was really great. In fact, better than I expect from Gundersen's usual level of below standard care. So there is that. We will see how I am treated when I go pick up my poor people glasses.

The doctor and the optometry assistant were on time, very kind and knowledgeable and listened to my concerns.

I felt comfortable and at ease during the exam and confident in the provider's ability. Felt comfortable about asking questions.

The wait time AFTER the doctor was done was absolutely horrific. We waited almost one hour just to have someone order her glasses. The employee did not go in order of when the guests were done with the doctor. Another patient skipped right in front of us and he was fine with it. There was no reason to wait that long AND just take whoever is closest to them. Very unhappy with that portion of the visit. Up until that point everything was great.

Dr was excellent as was the staff. Way too many questionaires

Doctor Herde answered some questions I've had for years since my cataract surgery.

The care team has become like friends. They ask questions and encourage discussions to make sure they have a clear picture of your condition! Lots of tests are taken to get a clear picture of your eye health.

My appointment was at two and we sat in the waiting room for 35 mins before going back and sat in the back room for another 35 mins not knowing that the doctor had an emergency with another client was not told until 5 mins before the doctor came in .

The counter selling glasses told me Gndrsn didn't accept Met:ife Superior Vision insurance for ExxonMobil. Yet the MetLife Web site lists Gndrsn in Decorah as a participant. What gives ???

Was very pleased with the answers to my questions. Dr. Herde was thorough and polite. Getting my new glasses and safety glasses was a pleasant experience. Helping me save money with my insurance. So satisfied with the overall experience.
