the person that checked me in insisted I pay for my visit before leaving. said it isn't covered under insurance. the doctor told me not to worry about it, that the eye exam IS covered under medical and normal. Receptionist need a bit more training sometimes.

Actual experience was great. Trying to get a physical is not a good experience.

I wanted to look at sunglasses while waiting but couldn't find anyone to help. Found out later I needed to sign in to talk to someone. Didn't see anything telling me that.

I appreciated the nurse and time she spent preparing me for Dr. Clements. I felt I was in good hands and I didn't feel rushed. Dr. Clements was a very pleasant person to have in charge of my care as well.

Dr. Clements is very knowledgeable, efficient, compassionate and personable. She has a good sense of humor which helps lighten any potential issues for me. Dr. Clements explains things in a way that I can understand. She is persistent in tracking issues with my eyes and purses any potential complication quickly. I like her and recommend her to anyone looking for an eye doctor.

She's a very nice gal and I think she's not Pilomino, but I think she'll do real good.

The care team in the Onalaska eye clinic was very kind. I had called for a last-minute appt. and they got me in right away. Dr. Clements was excellent--she explained everything super well to me in terms I could understand. It was a very good experience, and I would come back to the eye clinic if I needed to.

The tech and optometrist were wonderful with our child. Our child is highly inquisitive, curious about the human body, and asks a lot of questions. While I don't mind answering all the questions for the check in process, I would think once would be sufficient unless something has changed. I had more than one appointment and had to go through the whole question process each time. There must be a better way, other than refusing to respond at all.

I won't use mychart.

The person whom checked me and examined my eyes before I saw my dr. in was extremely kind and respectful to me. I rarely feel so comfortable and safe around providers whom I have no already established trust with. Dr. Sarah C was as always a phenomenal provider, kind, respectful, and interested in me as a person (she even remembered to ask me about my pets!)

Dr. Clements was professional, kind, thorough and provided excellent care. She took plenty of time to talk with me and the entire staff was outstanding. This was my first visit to Dr Clements after my previous provider retired and I couldn't be happier with my visit and with my new eye doctor.

Dr Clements is the "best". Awesome personality and aware of all of my health issues from my osteoarthritis to my basal cell carcinoma on my face. She thoroughly examined my eyes and studied my eye tests that were performed before seeing her. I am fortunate to be one of her patients.

The front check in staff employee was difficult to work with and argumentative. This was exceptionally frustrating to have happen in front of our child. Every other aspect of the appointment went well.

Despite my inability to adequately and succinctly describe my issues, Dr. C patiently and good-humoredly persisted until everything was clear to her and she was able to make a diagnosis and recommend a solution to my vision problems.

The check-in on My Chart has way too many questions. Some that don't even pertain to my appointment. You should most definitely shorten the process as it was in the past. I'm sure I am not the only one who feels this way. My appointment with my optometrist went wonderfully starting with her tech and ending with a very thorough exam by the optometrist. She is an excellent optometrist.

As someone who has always struggled with vision changes and incorrect prescriptions, Dr. Clements was the first person to take the time to listen and understand my difficulties. I left with validation and confidence in new information that had been missed by years of previous optometrists. I will recommend her to everyone looking for a new provider.

I really like Dr. Clements and her approach to patient care. Everyone treated me great and I was 5 minutes late for appointment time and worried they would not see me. But...no problem. Except I hate to be tardy and am usually early.

Excellent teams...

Had a 20+ minute wait between the assistant did his initial procedures and the time of the doctor's arrival.

My lens prescription was made available in the adjacent GL Eye Clinic store and though I could have had it printed out there and taken it elsewhere to fill, it just seemed a little "pushy," especially with the 20% discount for order/purchase within one week. It makes it a bit more difficult, albeit not impossible, to compare glasses prices. The folks there were also very personable and competent, just as were all the other staff I encountered during my annual eye exam.

The new check in questions are offensive and not applicable. My nationality or "what country are you from?" is not relevant to my child's/my healthcare. Disturbed that Gundersen is catering to political nonsense. Do better. Dr Clements is amazing and the highlight of our time at this appointment. My child looks forward to seeing her every year. She is bright, articulate, friendly, and truly cares. We love her. If it were not for her, we would switch hospitals.

The visit with my provider was excellent. Your administrative bureaucracy is getting overwhelming. We seem more and more insulated from the actual medical care by this.

I always ask for a feedback after visit summary, which I receive. And the information that is listed there from Dr. Clements is in their technology and not mine. So it's not understandable. So that I guess is a, an issue that I have, it's like I need to call and ask her to explain everything that is on this after visit summary. So if somehow that could be made more legible or more readable or more understandable, it would be wonderful. Thank you.

I was pleased that the assistant who roomed me introduced herself. This rarely happens and I commented her for doing so. I want to receive paper billing and thought I had requested it on MyChart. Phone notifications are easily overlooked. I need a bill in hand that can be referred back to went time allows.
